2013 Tentative Budget
ATTENTION MILAN RESIDENTS - A Flood Plan has been put
together for our Town to participate in the National Flood Insurance
Program. The final plan will become effective on May 2, 2012. The
Town Board invites all interested parties to contact Karen Buechele
at 758-5133 Ext. 21 to make an appointment to view the maps and
information. Karen will be available with the information on
February 1st, and 2nd , 2012 from 8AM to 3PM.

New Loop Route Service
Dutchess County Commissioner of Planning and
Development Kealy Salomon is pleased to announce the
Dutchess County LOOP bus System will begin new Fixed
Route Service on Monday, June 28th, 2010. All service
routes will renamed to reflect changes in bus stop times
and locations as well as other route adjustments. Draft
timetables will be available on LOOP buses beginning May
25, 2010. The public information meeting is available
for public viewing on the County’s website,
www.dutchessny.gov. Questions regarding the new service

Dutchess County Legislature
proclaimed May as Lyme Disease Awareness Month in
Dutchess County. The County Legislature’s Tick Task
Force will be distributing material during local
community day events in many towns. They urge all
citizens to take suitable precautions to avoid the risk
of contracting Lyme disease, and other tick-borne
diseases.
REMINDER: New Burning Regulations As of October 14th
you will no longer need a burning permit to burn brush (downed
limbs and branches less than six inches in diameter and eight feet
in length). You will no longer be able to burn leaves or paper or
use a burn barrel and there will be no burning between March 15-May 15.

Department of Health will be holding a rabies clinic at
the Bowdoin Park Community Center, located at 85 Sheafe
Road, Town of Poughkeepsie, on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from
11 am to 3 pm. The clinic is free to all Dutchess County
residents ($10 per pet for out of county attendees) and is
open to dogs, cats, and ferrets that are at least 3 months
of age. Dogs must be on a leash and cats and ferrets must
